We offer craft parties and workshops just for grown ups, with the simple purpose of sharing skills and knowledge, to enable you to make something tangible and encourage you to explore creativity.
Crafting is fast becoming the no.1 go to for adults who are looking to maximise what precious free time they have, by learning a new skill and discovering something which could become a happy hobby!
Using our hands to create and our minds to visualise and design, can give you that mental space to switch off from daily stress and really focus on the task - the ultimate 'in the moment' activity.
It is proven that crafting, similar to meditation, can increase feelings of relaxation and lift our mood.
Our crafts are designed to be suitable for beginners, but equally will give seasoned crafters a chance to build on their skills or have a go at something new.
Most workshops last around 2 hours, and everything we offer can be tweaked if you're looking for a bespoke experience.

how it works
We come to you:
Whether that's at home for a gathering of friends or a hired venue for a special occasion. We bring all the bits and bobs you'll need for your craft party.
All you need to provide is enough space for everyone to get crafty.
Private and Community events:
You can also hire us to run craft workshops at private and community venues across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas, including cafes, pubs, restaurants and hotels.
Corporate:
Staff in need of some 'us' time? We offer corporate packages for something a little different to the usual team building event.
Senior Living:
We also love spending time creating with our more senior community. Please get in touch if you have a group or residential home who might like to create with us.
Follow these simple steps to get started:
1. Search our party/workshop options and find the crafty thing you and your guests would love to try.
2. Fill out an enquiry form by clicking the 'CONTACT US' button.
3. Once you've decided to go ahead, we will require a deposit to secure your date with full and final payment due 10 days before your event.
4. We'll send out all the relevant details including lots of lovely hints and tips to make your So Very Crafty event a success.
5. After your event, we'll clear away all our stuff and leave you to continue your celebrations or simply sit back with a nice cuppa and admire your handiwork.
a bit about us...
Founded by Michelle, mum of four with an inbuilt passion for crafts.
I have been making and crafting since I was a little girl, always thrilled when a school project came up to build a miniature garden or construct something from paper mâché. I loved drawing and painting and studied graphics and photography at college, then in my 30's, I had my first business designing and making wedding cakes.
The last 10 years however, have been dedicated to dragging my four children up, into almost sensible young people.
During that time, I've spent many hours nurturing craft skills with them and their friends, running crafty themed parties, building props for school plays, creating award winning book day costumes, making tempting gifts for school fetes, I have also helped my daughters run their own entrepreneurial business selling hand made crafts at the village fair.
As my children prepare to follow their own path, and leave me maturing like a slow cooked beef bourguignon, I've come to truly believe in the benefits of down time and creativity for grown ups of all ages and abilities - why should kids have all the fun!
So my next chapter is about teaching and sharing a variety of craft skills through craft parties and workshops 'just for grown ups'. You could learn a new skill, create something gorgeous and embrace some all important mindfulness, whilst gathering with like-minded creatives and having a giggle.
So Very Crafty was born out of these values and is ready to share the love. x
